“Everyday Sexism” Catcalls men and films the results:
Most of the men are caught off guard, but none are hostile or offended. When propositioned, most are willing. Just goes to confirm the old adage that “Women need a reason, men merely need a place”. It also goes to show you that as long as the target finds the Catcaller attractive, they won’t be offended.
Dunst is surprisingly outspoken on the subject of gender: “I feel like the feminine has been a little undervalued,” she says. “We all have to get our own jobs and make our own money, but staying at home, nurturing, being the mother, cooking – it’s a valuable thing my mum created. And sometimes, you need your knight in shining armour. I’m sorry. You need a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman. That’s why relationships work…”
Women want a MAN and Men want a WOMAN. A woman is to be placed in a dwelling to create a home and hearth. The man is to provide resources and defend it. In combination, they create something greater than either can on their own. They create something that is the subject of all the greatest romances and tales that have ever been told.
Another note, I definitely had a giant crush on Kirsten after she played MJ in Spiderman, her acting was ok, but her sweetness and vulnerability in the role hooked me.
